CNN's John Defterios asks whether it would be better to put a billion dollars into a prototype for this, or just speed up our rollout construction and design of the ones we can do already. One 50 megawatt wind turbine that can power 15,000 homes could make decarbonizing electricity system so much easier. But then again, plowing so much investment into designing a new supersized wind turbine could really distract the engineers and the accountants of these big turbine makers from just rolling out the technology that we've got.
