The Importance of Reason and Speech in Engaging With the Dharma
We say we need to use our imagination. We don't mean we need to play pretend particularly, or sometimes you might because that can have an effect too. If I only use my rational mind, it doesn't work. Life goes flat and grey and loses its beauty, loses its life, its interest. It's much better if I can listen to the Dharma, listening as one of my friends says for words of power,. listening for what moves me, what vibrates in my depths. This is what we mean by imagination.
