The Rise of Partisanship in Christianity
Tim Keller was accused of putting too much emphasis on relevance and watering down or even betraying the truth of Christianity out of a misplaced desire for social acceptance. I don't think that's what Tim did, but some of the legitimate concern comes from saying we have to be able to speak about significant problems in our culture as well as evangelize. We have to be can do both. It's simply that partisanship in the United States has been ratcheted so far up,. not only because of social media, but also because of continued changes in our culture.
