Historical Paul: What Scholars Actually Know About Paul's Life, Beliefs, and Personality
Misquoting Jesus with Bart Ehrman
Is the Transfiguration a Pro-Liptic Resurrection?
In the other gospels, Mark has no appearances and yet he says he's risen. So I think Mark is actually reflecting more of the apotheosis view or my teacher at Chicago, Norman Perrin used to say that the transfiguration as it's called in Mark chapter nine was a pro-liptic resurrection testimony. And Matthew even says they did have that vision and some doubted,. which is very interesting that it doesn't seem to be a flesh and blood encounter. Paul is more clearly with the visionary experience.
