And then van innwagen announces to us that he is a pretty stringent modal sceptic. So if you think about how we've looked, we're all making modal judgments all the time. If your modal judgments are about things that are close to the ground, there are things about that would be relevant to ordinary life of a creature developing in a darwinian environment. Then you y have good grounds for your motal judgments.
