The Problem With Space Temperature Control Systems
Satellite temperature control systems have to be different from terrestrial counterparts. If you're running a circuit that you expect to heat up, then you can get around that by providing some type of cooling. But what if there isn't any cool air to circulate? What if you're operating in an environment that's already too hot for the resistor to handle? On the cold side, a satellite might reach minus 150 degrees Celsius, and on the hot side, you'd be burning up at over 150 degrees.
