Lou Reed and Bob Dylan

Lou Reed in trying to find his own place in the world saw that you could do very intelligent things with what was considered pop music. The only person doing something like that in Lou Reed's periphery in 1964 was Bob Dylan. He would read poem after poem memorizing them that kind of help him learn to tell the stories so he liked the name Dylan and it was like Alan with a Y but the D that's a stronger sound.
