Is the Manufacturing Sector in Recession?
The ISM manufacturing index for January down to 47.4, which is well below expectations and well below where it was. A big chunk of that was a slump in new orders from 45.1 to 42.5. I mean, that doesn't look like a soft landing, doesn't it? And then we had the ADP numbers that showed a big fall in jobs from 253,000 to 106,000.
