The Trial and Verdict

This chapter focuses on the trial of Leon Jacob, where the prosecution has to prove his intent to have Meghan killed. Leon's defense argues that he was just a love-lorn ex-boyfriend who exaggerated, while Meghan testifies about her fear and belief that Leon wanted her dead. In the end, Leon is found guilty of solicitation of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison.
