The Role of Sutures in Repairing Lacerations

There was a recent RCT Quinn 2022 that looked at small hand lacerations only up to about two centimeters. At three months, there was absolutely no difference between sutures and nothing. So again, this is a very select group of lacerations and the trial is too small to say anything overall. But I think it fits with the overall hypothesis that our interventions, all the stuff that we're talking about today has a pretty small impact overall.
