The Importance of Cause Prioritization
If you have one thousand dollars to spend philanthropically you could donate to AMF or to SCI. But the paths to doing long run good are quite different in the two cases. For example one goes back by saving lives and one goes by improving lives primarily. The case for funding SCI is generally more along the lines of let's make it the case that these children can go to school so that they have better economic prospects in adulthood.
