Cash, Vicki and Colby Landrum met with Air Force lawyers in August 1981. They were told to file a claim for compensation but it was denied four weeks later. The case continues to perplex people and be the subject of investigation. In 1986, they filed a lawsuit against the United States government that was dismissed by a US District Court Judge.
