The Avocenan Project: A Brief History of Aristotle
Kallan was the dominant way of thinking among the theologians of his time. Avicenna found it difficult to accept as a system because of course he was led to the Aristotelian model of understanding reality. However this does not mean that they were not discussing issues that he thought should be discussed and explained. He took from the theologians what I would say is the problematic, the problematics of the issues and he tried to resolve them in his own way as such.
