The Importance of Nonviolent Politics

I wanted to ask sort of a maybe more specific version of this question because you take up civil disobedience in the book at one point. So I mean, I guess the question is, does a liberal have a particular stance on the use of force or violence to affect political change? And if so, why? Well, never say never. Certainly imagine situations where theuse of force, a slave rebellion, say. But if you live in, as we do, of a democracy, however flawed it is, then I think you must be committed to a nonviolent politics.
