The Trump derangement syndrome was real to the extent that for many people on the left, very meaningful distinctions totally collapsed. For some students or for some people online, this is a topic that you can't touch and you can't debate it. It seems like a massive confusion of scale and scope and proportionality. And if you think if there's one thing we should be doing on a college campus, it's teaching students to make distinctions.
