The Importance of a Journal

I wanted in the book, I did not want there to be explanations of why you were doing something. And so when I go back through my notebooks, I do find good ideas every once in a while. But it's mostly an exercise in nostalgia and in being like, oh, I remember what it was like when I was working on that. You know, over the course of several years, I'll have the same idea, but it'll take me a while to actually do something with it.
