It does distress and perplex me that so many of my academic colleagues acquiesce in the notion that our universities like the rest of British society are systemically racist. I think there comes a point where you're responsible for allowing serious nonsense to take root. At the moment, it's decolonizing policies, which are based on a series of assumptions about racism in Britain today and about what colonial history really wasthat are false.
