A 2016 study by Alison Wood Brooks and colleagues called Don't Stop Believing Rituals Improve Performance by Decreasing Anxiety. For this study, they wanted to look at the effect of rituals on reducing anxiety. The tennis player Rafael Nadal is known for having 19 different rituals that he does before and during his matches. It's a really common thing to do some kind of rituals with the other actors in your show - you know, like certain chants or warmups that you do.
