The Story of a Water Buffalo
The husband was smitten with a baby water buffalo. He treated the creature like it was a member of the family, giving it bits of food from the table. The other two wives were all about that crime, but they couldn't be happier. Days and months passed, and soon everyone seemed to forget about the third wife who had been grinding rice through her sobs. But where was the child? Oh, the first wives said together and explained that wife number three was embarrassed she hadn't burthed a child in the end.
