The Importance of Academic Disciplines in the Making of Robots
I'm slightly interested in the extent to which the book itself is a project of you know uncovering or kind of restaying possibly forgotten histories and was that some of the motivation for interviewing those two as well. Yeah I mean I think they both have relatively high profiles in their own ways but yes there are the aspects of what they did that I didn't necessarily know I didn't think it was particularly well publicized. So I wanted to make these concepts accessible to a wider public and get them to talk about them and yeah and also to interview them as kind of as people who are in particular institutions at particular times and places and to get a sense of how that shaped what they were doing.
