Boris Johnson - The 'Boris Johnson Circus'
Boris Johnson was on holiday in the Dominican Republic while Parliament was sitting and he flew back to the UK. He set about trying to get those 100 nominations he needed to get onto the ballot paper. At the end of Sunday evening at about nine o'clock he said that he had acquired the names necessary to join the contest. But Boris recognized he wouldn't be able to unite the party and so magnanimously he stood aside because the time wasn't right for him.
