You can't resist the actual event, because it took place. If you didn't experience it, you won't resist it. Psychology tells you that if your sister got the red bicycle when you wanted the red bike when you were six, right? You stored that inside. And you never really got divorced outside, not inside. So if you store these problems inside of you, your inside is not going to be a nice place to live. It's what the buddhists mean by empty mind. But you didn't have an empty mind. Why?
