Climate Change - What's the Case for Climate Change in Central Banks?

Emmanuel Saffo: Central banks typically have pretty well defined mandates that are given to them by law. He says no major central bank has an explicit legal mandate to include climate change in its policy framework. But even without explicitly mandating to address climate change or support the low carbon transition, most central banks recognize now that climate change and policies addressing it will have a strong impact on macro economic aggregates.
