Is There a Lottery Fallacy?

The fact that you are alive is a highly improbable event. But if you did survive, you wouldn't observe all the instances in which you would be dead. It's obviously more likely if there's lots of opportunities for it to happen. People get distracted by so many irrelevant aspects of this whole thing.
