The Pugilist at Rest
Tom Jones is an Irish poet who wrote The Pugilist at Rest. He was a school janitor for decades and told me that he would drink like two cases of beer while he was working as a janitor. His stories have an intensity to them that can be a little uneven, but he had a sense of humor. There's almost like a kind of abrupt violence in his use of imagery.
