Y, i think it'sa we we carry a great deal of reverence for our elders. And enough respect for them to see them as the complete human beings they are. I think there is this way in which we talk about relationships with elders that really does it disserve us to seeing their full humanity and the places where they got it wrong,. Y, i think part of what i have been reflect on lately is that those elders from the southern freedom movement were able to diagnose the issues and challenges before them with the tools they had.
