Teaching Arithmetic Before Age 10 Is Not Necessary
There is no necessity for formal teaching in arithmetic before age 10. Small children cannot understand many arithmetic concepts at an early age. We waste valuable time developing vocabulary and verbal language skills. I would bet that we could teach and train a five year old to run marathons.
