The Assassination of President Obote
One of the bullets passed through his mouth, but other than that, president obote was uninjured. Abote is apoplectic and passes emergency laws - anyone brandishing a gun in his presence is to receive an automatic death sentence. A hasty police investigation concludes that responsibility for the attack lies with a man named benedicto kianuka, leader of the democratic party. The assassins who were arrested were all activists of the defunct kingdom of buganda. But there is still an air of mystery surrounding the attempted assassination.
