Chat GPT Can Generate Short Articles

Chat GPT has been able to turn rough notes into some pretty good text. Is this already high enough quality that we could use this to generate entire articles or papers? At this point, I would say that it can probably already generate some short articles. It can't quite generate papers yet. For academic papers that are like 50 pages long, they don't quite have the level of depth and also the ability to stay on message for 50 pages.
