The Benefits of Knowing the Motivation of Leakers
When you're getting specific kind of information about ongoing investigations or the nefarious character at the center of this investigation, you publish that somewhat gleefully. But there is a different sort of thing than someone from the State Department secretly leaking some classified materials to journalists. Those people should be burned especially when they are anonymous to begin with. I've always tried to institute the maximum amount of sort of dawling up the description of someone who wishes to remain anonymous.
