The Consent Issues in Childbirth and Maternal Health in India
Jandi Nilikani's personal story illuminated a lot to me because of all the people that I imagine having difficulty in getting excellent care when it comes to childbirth and maternal health. Women are literally pushed into things that they really don't wish to do. A lot of what I call fear based consent rather than truly informed consent. People are just not giving you the information that you deserve. This is a systemic problem at the entire market government system level in India.
