CHAPTER

The Rights Reversion Clause in Self Publishing Contracts

Rights reversion is a really tricky thing in publishing. Most of its based on whether or not the book is still in print. Now publishers can just move this book from an offset print run of thousands of copies at a time to make it available as a print on demand book, and then you'll never get your rights back. Writers aren't thinking about this when they're signing contracts. They think, this publisher wants to sell millions of copies the way i do. And meanwhile, we're selling lots of copies and making lots of money, and publishers are being left out.
