What Are Some of the Myths of the First World War?

The idea of mud, death, donkeys and futility is often associated with the first wal war. But in fact it was a global conflict that occurred just over the channel in flanders and france. And so i think those are the the ideas encompassed when people even just hear the words 'first wal war' So if you want to investigate these myths, as you've done, how do you go about getting at that source material? I mean, it's easy to look at the volumes of poetry and so on that are published in, like, the late twenties, around 29 30. There's this nexas where a whole bunch of stuff comes out at the same time
