The Battle of Trafalgar

After Trafalgar the British fleet was in absolutely awful shape. Several ships were nearly disabled, all had suffered damage. Every crew was under strength from casualties and every cockpit was still packed with dozens of wounded. The Wood's men also had to deal with the 21 prize ships they had just taken from the enemy - most of which were in even worse shape. Hundreds of captured French or Spanish mariners confined on board.
