The Importance of Routine Eye Exams for Sarcoidosis Patients
Sarcoid eye disease can affect almost every portion of the eye. Uveitis and retinal involvement are the most worrisome because they're the areas that can lead to blindness. Hydroxychloroquine is a treatment for sarcoidosis, and it can cause hydroxychloroquines-induced retinopathy. Monitoring for this complication could be an unintended advantage of routine eye exams.
