i don't know if i entirely by that explanation either. Just literally, considering how they straight up set up scolly tif be like, we need you to just kind of like discredit this guy so we can just shut down this operation like that is a very clear directive. And you know, if they were totally unwitting, i don't think they would particularly care if you had this lone whacko chasing after big foots or whatever.

If you read between the lines of introduction, they say, o hey, you're your scully, and we're going to do the exposition wers likeyou, you just graduated from mes or you've graduated from medschool and you've been teaching or whatever. And you're kind of new to the fbi. Maybe not superne like, kind of new. And, you know, yors nice and and they say, you know, have you ever heard of, youever heard of the sky calleda fox molter? And she he goes, oh, yes, he's an oxford educated genius analyst, but people call him spooky, you know, she's, he's a genius, but he's in these really weird things. And i say, yes, i'm glad you've heard of him, because you were going to assign you to use your scientific outlook to to work with him on these these files, the hea, like the x files, wasn't malder's assignment. This is just stuff he was doing extra curricular. And they didn't like that, so they said, the best thing to do is, i guess, put him on, put him actually to work there, and we'll sandbag him with this lady whose job it is, as she says, to debunk him. Ike, you knowu you just going, yu'e going to fat check the alien stuff that molder's doing and make sure that nothing comes of it. And she picks up on this immediately, and and kind of calls it out, which is, i think, the one of the central points that the pilot tries to get across is that they bring her in as a hired gun to shoot him down. But like, she's actually really good at her job, way better her job than they want her to be,
