Paul bernardo was born into a financially successful but dysfunctional family. His mother, marilin eastman had been adopted early in life by a wealthy lawyer and his wife. Paul's grandfather was abusive towards his wife and children which may have been a reason why kenneth chose to become an accountant instead of entering the family business.
