The Importance of Axislary Reverse Mapping in the Prevention of Lymphoma
Most of the data on lymphodema and when it develops in patients is not prospectively collected data a lot of its retrospective analysis. Lymphodema rates can be quite high and so I think we have to consider that when we're preparing a patient for surgery, considering whether axillary reverse mapping can be incorporated at the time of the surgery. If someone develops lymphodema then interventions earlier can be more effective if the patient develops very advanced stages of lymphodema it's much more difficult to treat.
