Do We Really Need Social Media to Combat Disinformation?

The penagon is now doing a review of our own misinformation, disinformation campaigns using social media. We couldn't even set up at d h s a disinformation board to combat disinformation with truthful information, because that too much smacked of official speech. So i get why people are upset. Even though it was only going to speak truthful information, or at least it said it was, we never saw what it would do. I think that so long as disinformation is differentially benefiting one party in the united states over the other, combating disinformation on a globe scale will be a political land mine domestically and thus not something we can do. Only if we get to a place where both parties are equally victimized
