Salmon Reduces Depression and Symptoms of Depression
When I struggled with depression years ago, one of the things I started doing was eating salmon. omega-3 fatty acids are known to be somewhat anti-inflammatory and so they can help decrease inflammation. Salmon plays a role in that because omega-3 fats make up a critically important part of the membrane of mitochondria which affects the way mitochondria function. There's actually more omega- 3 fatty acids in the mitochondria-l membrane than there are in the membrane of the cell.
