The Differences Between Tech and People
Most of my tech needs has been people who did not want the HR responsibility. So that's why they chose the tech lead direction. I feel like when you start leaving more towards the managing route, you most likely will stop coding or at least minimize that in some way because you'll have to take care of the people.
