Pencil and Paper: The Magical Device

Do you use drawing by hand as a way of thinking or working through your ideas? I have two thoughts. The first thought is that there was actually research. Pencil and paper is great for getting ideas. It's great for taking notes. But when it comes to putting your ideas into a form that's going to be conveyed to other people, the keyboard is the magical device.
