Tucker Carlson on the Farm Bill
The farm bill started with good intentions from the Nixon administration when hunger was an issue and food price fluctuation was a big political problem for Nixon. That then was completely taken over by lobbyists and good intentions turned into what we have today, which is where we have a monocrop system. A lot of farmers I'm talking to would like to shift to a more regenerative situation,. Would like to be raising more pasture raised meat and more diverse crops. But they're funneled into this because again, 75% of our diet has shifted since the 70s, has gone up dramatically to ultra processed food Because of those incentives. So there's a huge unwinding we have to do here.
