Fragile High Self Esteem

When people talk about high self esteem, they're usually thinking about something called secure high self esteem. For example, a fragile high self esteem is going to be when people say they feel good about themselves, but it seems like if you kind of scratch at the surface a little bit, it all starts to crumble. So feelings of fragile high selfesteem require a lot of external validation. They also seem to require at least some degree of self deception.
