In the UK, nearly two-thirds of children's calorie intake is now from industrially made food. Food habits that we establish in childhood generally stay with us. Once you've developed a taste for foods which are salty, fatty, sugary, highly processed, the odds are that that's what you come to recognize as food and continue to buy it later in life. We're looking at how we learn to eat and how even in a world dominated by the processed stuff, we might learn to eat better.
