The concept of race can help you identify and predict patterns with things going on right now. "I wish sometimes I wish that race was linked biologically to dancing because, you know, I got a lot of practice ahead of me," she says. Race is one way we have to organize our advocacy work and political work around people that are the most vulnerable.
Scientists weren’t the first to divide humanity along racial – and and racist – lines. But for hundreds of years, racial scientists claimed to provide proof for those racist hierarchies – and some still do.
