The Alphabetic Writing System - Literacy
It's all very well and good if students can kind of say bat instead of sat, but how does that actually help them to read? Ye, well, if you think about it, logically, what we have is an alphabetic writing system. So we have these symbols, and a the unique sequence of that symbols determines what the word is. The symbols aren't just there to tell you about sound. They're there for other things, as wl hesymbols are there for meaning, but as the initial driver of literacy instruction. It's a really, really good idea to go.
