PEPFAR: Aid, Abortion, and Partisan Politics

Concern from some Republicans over abortion — and resurgent skepticism of foreign aid — could severely curb the effectiveness of the AIDS prevention program PEPFAR. Also known as the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, PEPFAR is credited with saving more than 25 million lives since it began in 2003.
