I've been persuaded that social media has been pretty destructive for adolescents and teenage girls in particular. I think if I had access to social media as a young teenager, it would have completely destroyed my mental health. Those were Halcyon days, man, because you could make a lot of mistakes. You could say a lot of really stupid shit. Only your buddies might have heard it and they forgot it afterwards. And I feel like that is causing us tremendous anxiety. It's probably responsible for the rise in mental health issues, particularly among teenage girls.
David Pinsof is an evolutionary social scientist and a co-creator of the game Cards Against Humanity. He holds a PhD in Psychology from UCLA, where he studied the
