The Principle of Colorblindness Perpetuates Racism

The idea that colorblindness is racist is not just untrue, it's the opposite of the truth. Our failure to enshrine colorblindness has led to a list of disastrous race-based policies. If you want to fight racism, remove race from public policy; do so based on class. And by definition, class policies will disproportionately benefit blacks and Hispanics because they are disproportionately likely to be poor.
